Meet Miss Teen Minnesota 2008...

Megan Herickhoff (Miss Teen Stearns County) was crowned Miss Minnesota International 2008 on March 9th in St. Cloud. Minnesota, where she competed with other "county/city" title holders from across the state. These young women are recognized for their achievements as individuals and in their communities.

Megan won the title of second runner-up in the 2006 Miss Teen Minnesota International Pageant and became the first runner-up at the 2007 Pageant. She is proud to have been crowned Miss Teen Minnesota International 2008. The entire pageant experience has made her appreciate this amazing title and the powers it contains. Through this pageant, she has come to understand and value the true meaning of hard work, perseverance, and determination.

She plans to use her crown to help raise awareness about narcolepsy. Along with speaking at numerous places about her platform, she hope to inspire others to never give up. She strives to be the girl that she used to look at and say, “Mom, look at her! I want to be just like that someday.” She intends to be a positive role model for girls to look up to as well as a helping hand for everyone to depend on.

With the help of her wonderful family, friends, and the Lord, she looks forward to representing Minnesota and the International pageant system with pride, grace, integrity, gratitude, and humility. She extends her thanks to all who have supported her and greatly appreciates any encouragement.
